- Educational qualification:
- Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics, Electronics and Communication, Computer Technology, or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology.
- Alternatively, a master’s degree in a computer application or science (IT) from a recognized university.
- Experience:
- At least five years of experience in computer technology, communication technology, information technology, or information and communication technology (except teaching):
- government organization
- Municipal council
- Government undertaking board or corporation
- Companies established under Companies Act
- Half of this experience should be in companies that have been evaluated by CMM, ISO is certified, listed on stock exchanges, or members of recognized industry associations such as NassScom.
- At least five years of experience in computer technology, communication technology, information technology, or information and communication technology (except teaching):
- language proficiency:
- Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.
- Age limit:
- Candidates should not be more than 42 years old as the application deadline.
- Age relaxation applies according to government norms:
- EWS, SEBC, SC, and ST Male Candidates original of Gujarat origin: 5 years (up to 45 years)
- General category female candidate Gujarat origin: 5 years (up to 45 years)
- EWS, SEBC, SC, and ST Women Candidates original of Gujarat origin: 10 years (up to 45 years)
- Physical disabled candidate: 10 years (up to 45 years)

Selection process for GPSC recruitment 2025
- preliminary test:
- General Studies: 100 points (60 minutes)
- Related topics: 200 marks (120 minutes)
- Candidates who score less than 15% on initial testing will not be eligible for interview.
- Interview:
- Candidates who qualify for initial testing will be called for interview.
- Final result:
- The final result will be published within 10 working days after the final interview date.
