GSET Exam Subject List with Codes and Medium of Questions

Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda released the official notification for Gujarat State Eligibility Test Admit Card 2024 on 21st November 2024. The exam is scheduled to be held on 1st December 2024. The examination scheme consists of 2 papers: Paper I which assesses the candidates’ general aptitude and Paper II which assesses the subject-specific knowledge of the candidates. Candidates have to select from the GSET exam subject list of 33 subjects for Paper II in their relevant discipline.

The examination will be conducted in 2 papers. Paper I consists of 50 questions, each carrying a weightage of 2 marks and Paper II, subject-specific, consists of 100 questions, each carrying a weightage of 2 marks. Candidates applying should know that they have to choose one subject for Paper II. This will be the subject which they have been pursuing in their previous studies and carry with them an experience. GSET exam subject list is divided into 33 subjects with Gujarati and English as the medium of questions.

GSET Exam 2024: Overview

GSET exam 2024 is conducted by MSUB and assesses the eligibility of candidates to be appointed as Assistant Professor in the university. Candidates can be from 33 different subjects. Let us have a brief overview of the exam:

GSET Exam Paper I Topics

Since the exam is conducted within 2 papers. Let us first discuss the subject blueprint of Paper I which generally assesses the general aptitude of the candidates and is the same for all the candidates and it is mandatory for all to appear in Paper II. The GSET exam topic list around which Paper I is structured is as follows: Reasoning Ability, Comprehension, Divergent Thinking and General Awareness. Candidates need to essentially prepare themselves for these subjects, as Paper I gets 33% weightage of the exam. Although it is qualifying in nature, candidates need to prepare themselves equally for Paper I.
