IBPS Clerk Selection Process: Steps

There are two stages in the IBPS Clerk selection process. On the basis of preliminary exam score candidates will qualify for main exam. The score of main examination will decide the final selection of the candidates. Here are the steps of IBPS Clerk Selection Process.

IBPS Clerk selection process starts with preliminary examination. The details of preliminary examination are given below. You should keep in mind that this is only a qualifying stage of the exam.

  1. IBPS Clerk Prelims exam consists of three sections: English Language, Reasoning Ability and Quantitative Aptitude.
  2. Candidates will be given 60 minutes to complete the exam.
  3. There is negative marking in the exam.

  • IBPS Clerk Main Exam is divided into four sections.
  • Candidates will have a total of 160 minutes to complete the main examination.
  • There will be negative marking for each wrong answer in both Preliminary and Main examination with a penalty of ¼ or 0.25 marks out of the marks assigned to the particular question.
