Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria
The details of educational qualification, experience and age limit required for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment are given below.
(1) Engine driver
- Ability: Matriculation and certificate as Engine Driver from a recognized institute.
- Experience: Two years as Sarang on a ship with more than 400 BHP capacity.
- Age Limit: 18 to 30 years (relaxable up to 40 years for EWS category Central Government employees).
(2) Laskar
- Ability: Matriculation or equivalent.
- Experience: Three years’ service on a boat.
- Age Limit: 18 to 30 years (relaxable up to 40 years for EWS category Central Government employees).
(3) Draftsman
- Ability: Diploma in Civil/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Draftsmanship.
- Experience: One year in relevant field.
- Age Limit: 18 to 25 years (relaxable up to 40 years for Central Government employees).
(4) Fireman/Mack Fireman
- Ability: Matriculation.
- physical fitness: Must meet specific physical standards.
- Age Limit: 18 to 27 years (relaxable up to 40 years for Central Government employees).
(5) Civilian motor transport driver
- Ability: 10th class and valid driving license for heavy and light vehicles.
- Experience: Two years’ experience of driving a vehicle and knowledge of minor motor repairs.
- Age Limit: 18 to 30 years (relaxable up to 40 years for OBC category Central Government employees).
(6) Multi-tasking staff (gardeners and watchmen)
- Ability: Matriculation or equivalent.
- Experience: Two years in relevant field.
- Age Limit: 18 to 27 years (3 years relaxation for OBC candidates, 5 years relaxation for SC candidates).
(7) Motor transport fitter
- Ability: Matriculation and two years in automobile workshop.
- Desired: ITI Diploma in relevant trade.
- Age Limit: 18 to 32 years (relaxable up to 45 years for Central Government employees belonging to Scheduled Tribe category).
