MP TET Class 2 Eligibility Criteria 2025, Educational Qualification and Age Limit


Madhya Pradesh Staff Selection Board (MPESB) has recently released the massive MP TET Class 2 Teacher Vacancy with more than 10,000 vacancies under the School Education and Tribal Affairs departments. MPESB announced this vacancy to recruit candidates for various subjects under both secondary and primary level. MP TET Class 2 Eligibility Criteria 2025

MP TET Class 2 Recruitment 2025 offers a wide range of teaching opportunities for candidates in Madhya Pradesh. These vacancies are spread across various teaching posts in various subjects including primary and secondary level. To be eligible for these roles, candidates must meet certain educational qualifications, age limits and other criteria. MP TET Class 2 eligibility criteria will be evaluated based on the guidelines mentioned in Schedule 3 of Rule-8 of the Recruitment Rules 2018, along with any updates to the Youth Rules. Applicants should ensure that they meet all the required conditions before proceeding with their application.

MP TET Class 2 Teacher Educational Qualification

MP TET Class 2 Recruitment includes various teaching posts, such as subject teacher, music teacher and sports teacher. Each post has its own set of educational qualification requirements that candidates must fulfill to be eligible.   1. For candidates applying as subject teachers, Bachelor’s degree in the concerned subject along with two years Diploma in Elementary Education or equivalent qualification as per the guidelines is required. And
  2. One of the following:
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject + Two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (or equivalent) Or
  • Master’s degree in relevant subject with minimum 50% marks + one year B.Ed degree in Education branch Or
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject with minimum 45% marks + Master’s degree (B.Ed) in Education branch as per NCTE Regulations Or
  • Higher Secondary (12th class) with at least 50% marks + four years degree in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) Or
  • Higher Secondary (12th class) with at least 50% marks + four years leading degree in the relevant subject (BA B.Ed/B.Sc B.Ed or BA Ed/B.Sc Ed).
Secondary Teacher (Sports)
  1. Candidates applying as Sports Teacher must have passed the “Secondary Teacher Sports Eligibility Test 2023” conducted by the Staff Selection Board Madhya Pradesh Bhopal with the prescribed percentage. And
  2. Higher Secondary examination with at least 50% marks from a recognized Board and Diploma in Physical Education/BP Ed/BPE from a recognized institute or its equivalent.
Secondary Teacher (Music – Vocal Instruments)
  1. Candidates applying as Sports Teacher must have passed the “Secondary Teacher Musical Vocal Instrument Eligibility Test 2023” conducted by the Staff Selection Board Madhya Pradesh Bhopal with the prescribed percentage. And
  2. Senior Secondary examination with at least 50% marks from a recognized Board and B.Mus./M.Mus/Vid/Covid/Ratra or its equivalent from a recognized institute.
Primary Teacher (Sports)
  1. Candidates applying as Sports Teacher must have passed “Primary Teacher Sports Eligibility Test 2023” conducted by Staff Selection Board Madhya Pradesh Bhopal with prescribed percentage. And
  2. Higher Secondary examination with at least 50% marks from a recognized Board and Diploma in Physical Education/BP Ed/BPE from a recognized institute or its equivalent.
Primary Teacher (Music – Vocal Instruments)
  1. Candidates applying as Sports Teacher must have passed the “Primary Teacher Musical Vocal Instrument Eligibility Test 2023” conducted by the Staff Selection Board Madhya Pradesh Bhopal with the prescribed percentage. And
  2. Higher Secondary examination with at least 50% marks from a recognized board and Diploma in Vocal/Playing Instruments from a recognized institute or B.Mus/M.Mus/Vid/Covid/Ratra or its equivalent.
Primary Teacher (Music-Dance)
  1. Candidates applying as Sports Teacher must have passed the “Primary Teacher Music Dance Eligibility Test 2023” conducted by the Staff Selection Board Madhya Pradesh Bhopal with the prescribed percentage. And
  2. Senior Secondary examination with at least 50% marks from a recognized Board and Diploma in Dance from a recognized Institute or B.Mus Dance/M.Mus Dance/Vidya/Covid/Diploma in Dance at Night or from a recognized Institute. Its equivalent from.

The applying candidates must ensure that they comply with the age limit of MP TET Class 2 Secondary Teacher to avoid any problem during the recruitment process. The minimum age for the candidates is 21 years. The maximum age for male applicants in unreserved category is 40 years as on 1 January 2024. Male employees of Madhya Pradesh Government Corporations, Boards or Autonomous Institutions and Nagar Sainiks can apply up to the age of 45 years.

For reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC) who are natives of Madhya Pradesh, the maximum age limit is 45 years. Special provisions are available for guest teachers who have put in at least three academic sessions and a minimum of 200 days of service in government schools. The maximum age limit for male guest teachers (unreserved category) has been increased to 49 years, while male guest teachers from reserved category can apply up to 54 years of age.

MP TET Class 2 Teacher Age Relaxation

Candidates applying for MP TET Class 2 Secondary Teacher posts must be aware of the age relaxation provided under MP TET Class 2 eligibility criteria. These relaxations are applicable to certain categories of candidates who are natives or residents of Madhya Pradesh, providing them additional benefits while applying for the posts. Candidates must verify their eligibility for these relaxations before proceeding with the application.

Age relaxation is given to various categories, including ex-servicemen, dependents of soldiers killed in action and demobilized defense personnel. Special provisions have also been made for inter-caste marriage award winners and Vikram Award winners. These adjustments in the age limit are given based on the specific rules prescribed by the Government of Madhya Pradesh and are applicable only to the eligible candidates as per the prescribed criteria.

Age relaxation for MP TET class 2 women

Female candidates applying for MP TET Class 2 Teacher posts who are native or resident of Madhya Pradesh are eligible for age relaxation as per government norms. The maximum age limit for unreserved category female applicants is 45 years. Similarly, female candidates from reserved category including SC, ST and OBC also benefit from the extended age limit of 45 years. The purpose of MP TET Class 2 age relaxation for women is to encourage female participation and ensure fair opportunities in the recruitment process.
