Information about PM Awas Yojana

The country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi had started this scheme on 25 June 2015. Under this scheme, citizens living in plain areas have been provided an amount of up to Rs 1 lakh 20 thousand for construction of a permanent house and up to Rs 1 lakh 30 thousand for uneven land. The Government of India is providing the benefits of this scheme to the citizens by organizing different phases of this scheme.

Eligibility for PM Awas Yojana

  • The citizen must have a kutcha house.
  • BPL ration card must be present.
  • Must have never received the benefit of any housing scheme from the Central Government or State Government before.
  • No member in the family should be an income tax payer.
  • Disabled members, widows etc. are also eligible to avail the benefits of this scheme.
  • The citizen must be at least 18 years of age.
  • The citizen should not be working on any government post.

  • Due to availability of funds under PM Awas Yojana, citizens can easily get a permanent house constructed.
  • The benefit of this scheme is provided to all men and women on the basis of eligibility.
  • Due to PM Awas Yojana Rural, benefits are provided to the citizens living under rural areas, whereas for the citizens of urban areas, PM Awas Yojana Urban is provided.
  • The Government of India has taken action to make the official website available for this scheme, due to which citizens can check their name in the list sitting at home.

Important documents must be available because only such citizens are included in this scheme and provided the benefits of this scheme: –

  • Aadhar card
  • ration card
  • bank account passbook
  • Address proof
  • Income certificate.

How to check PM Awas Yojana Gramin List?

  • To check the rural list, first of all go to the official website pmayg.nic.in.
  • Now click on the option Awassoft that appears in the menu.
  • Now the drop down menu will open, click on the reports option in it.
  • Now in the new page that opens, click on the option of Beneficiary Details for Verification in the Social Audit Report H section.
  • Now after selecting PM Awas Yojana, all other information has to be selected.
  • Now enter the correct captcha code and click on the submit button.
  • After doing this, the PM Awas Yojana rural list will open.
