PM Modi Suryoday Yojana: Pradhan Mantri Suryodaya Yojana has been started by the Central Government. Under this scheme, financial assistance or subsidy is provided to those who install solar panels in their homes. This scheme was launched by Prime Minister Modi from Ayodhya on 22 January.

To avail the benefits of the scheme, you will have to apply online
If you want to install a solar system at your home, you will have to apply online under this scheme. Only after applying, you will be able to avail the benefits of this scheme and get subsidy on installation of solar panels under the scheme. If you install solar panels under this scheme, you will be provided a minimum subsidy of ₹ 18,000 per kilowatt and a maximum of ₹ 20,000 per kilowatt.

Necessary eligibility to avail the benefits of the scheme
- Only Indian citizens will get the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Suryodaya Yojana.
- To avail the benefit of this scheme, the annual income of the applicant should not be more than one or one and a half lakh.
- The applicant or any member of the applicant’s family should not be in a government job.
- All documents should be available with the applicant.

- After this you will have to fill the electricity bill number.
- Now electricity expenditure information will have to be filled and after filling the basic information, solar panel details will have to be entered.
- Now you have to measure the area of your roof and fill it.
- You will have to select and apply solar panels according to the area of the roof.
- In this way you can apply.
- After completion of the application, the subsidy amount for installation of solar panels under this scheme will be transferred to your bank account by the government.
