SSC CHSL 2024 was released on 8 April 2024 for 3712 vacancies for LDC, JSA and DEO posts. The online application process has started today. SSC CHSL Exam Pattern 2024

The SSC CHSL exam has two parts: Tier 1 and Tier 2. It will be done online. Tier 1 exam is expected to begin in June 2024. Minimum qualification marks in Tier-I, and section-III of section-I, section-II and Module-I Section-III examinations are as follows:

  • Ur: 30%
  • OBC/EWS: 25%
  • All other categories: 20%

In the Tier-I exam, you will only find multiple questions. These questions can be chosen while choosing in English, Hindi, or in any language. Remember, for each wrong answer, 0.50 points will be cut, so answer carefully.

The Tier II of the exam has three sections, each of which has two modules:

Section-I:

Module-I: mathematical capabilities
Module-II: logic and general intelligence

Action-II:

Module-I: English language and understanding
Module II: General Awareness

Action-III:

Module-I: Computer Knowledge Test
Module-II: Skill Testing/Typing Testing

The examination will be divided into two sessions – sessions I and Sessions II – on the same day. The session I include section I, Section II and section III’s module I. Session II includes section III’s module II.

To pass Tier II, candidates must qualify in all classes.

The exam includes objective-type multiple-chic questions, except except for the module of Section III. Questions can be in any language selected during English, Hindi, or application process.

For wrong answers in section-I, section-II, and section-III module-I, there will be negative marking of 1 marks per question.

The module of Section III (Computer Knowledge Test) is mandatory, but only qualified.

The module II of Section III (skill test/typing test) will be held in Session II. This is qualification and will be evaluated on the basis of guidelines provided by the Commission. Errors in skill testing will be calculated up to 2 decimal places.

Data entry operators (DOS) and Lower Division Clerk (LDCs)/Junior Secretary Assistant (JSAS) have different parts of skills test, each of which is with its requirements and timeframes. Eligible candidates will be given compensatory time for a scribe.

Comment: Candidates with 40% or more disability will not have questions related to map, graph, diagram or statistical data in general intelligence and quantitative qualification classes.

SSC CHSL courses for Tier-I exam

Session- I (Mathematical Ability) module-I:

  • Number system: Basic calculation with the entire number, decimal and fractions.
  • Fundamental arithmetic: percentage, ratio, average, interest, profit and loss, etc.
  • Algebra: Simple algebraic problems and linear equations.
  • Geometry: Understanding basic shapes such as triangle, circles and their properties.
  • Mansuration: Measurement of shapes such as triangle, quadrilateral and circles.

Section-I module II (argument and general intelligence):

Section-II module-II (General Awareness):

  • Awareness about environment and society.
  • Knowledge of current events and everyday comments.
  • Understanding of India’s history, culture, geography, economy and scientific research.

Module of Section-III of Paper-I (Computer Profession)- I:

  • Computer Basics: Understanding computer components, memory and basic operations.
  • Software: Basic knowledge of Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office application.
  • Internet and email uses: web browsing, management of e-mail accounts, online banking.

Comment: Visual loss candidates with 40% or more disability will not have mathematical abilities and logic and general intelligence modules related to maps, gradings, diagrams or statistical data.
