UGC NET 2025
The University Grants Commission is a National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) or NTA UGC NET is a national level teaching examination in Indian universities and colleges only to determine the eligibility of candidates for Assistant Professor or Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor posts. The UGC NET exam is conducted twice a year for a total of 85 subjects.

UGC NET 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who want to apply for the UGC NET 2025 exam must ensure that they meet UGC NET Eligibility Criteria 2025. The eligibility of the candidate for UGC NET will be determined in educational qualification, number of efforts and similar context.
Educational qualification
- Candidates should complete a master’s degree or be equivalent to a recognized university with a minimum 55% total marks (50% for reserved categories) from a recognized university.
- Candidates who are performing four years/8-semester bachelor’s degree program and can also apply for UGC-NET in their final semester/year.
- Candidates with a four -year bachelor’s degree program are allowed to appear in a subject in which they want to pursue a PhD, even though they have received a bachelor’s degree in which they have received a bachelor’s degree despite the discipline.
Age limit
- JRF – Maximum 30 years (comfort applicable to reserved categories)
- Assistant Professor – No upper age limit
UGC Net Applies Form 2025
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started accepting the UGC NET application form 2025 for the UGC NET June session exam from 16 April 2025. Candidates who meet the UGC NET eligibility criteria will have to fill the UGC Net application form through the NTA website or the direct link shared here.
