UGC net score validity

After obtaining a valid UGC net score, which is more than the cutoff or qualifying marks, candidates will receive a UGC NET certificate. According to the latest guidelines of NTA and UGC, UGC NET score for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) is valid for three years from the date of issuance of JRF certificate. In contrast, the score for supporting professorship is valid indefinitely. Therefore, the UGC NET score of the candidates is valid for a lifetime in terms of assistant professorship, while the JRF has a three -year limit.
