Inception and duration of the scheme

  • the scheme 15 December 2024 starting from 31 January 2025 Will remain in force till.
  • The plan is divided into three phases:
    1. First Step: 15 December 2024 to 31 December 2024
    2. Second step: 1 January 2025 to 15 January 2025
    3. third step: 16 January 2025 to 31 January 2025

Main benefits of the scheme

  1. Surcharge exemption:
    Outstanding consumers can get up to 100% waiver on surcharge.
  2. Facility to pay in installments:
    For consumers who cannot make the lump sum payment, the option of payment in installments is available.


eligibility

  • The benefits of the scheme will be available to domestic (LMV-1), commercial (LMV-2), private institutions (LMV-4B), and industrial (LMV-6) category consumers.
  • This also includes those consumers whose connections have been permanently disconnected.

Registration Process

  • Official website for registration of consumers (www.uppcl.org) will go on.
  • Latest electricity bill and mobile number are mandatory for registration.

Incentives for CSC VLE

CSCs (Public Suvidha Kendra) and other agencies will be given incentives to play an active role in the scheme.

  • Incentive amount:
    • ₹20 per transaction on payments up to ₹2000.
    • 0.5% of the amount collected on payments above ₹2000.
    • Additional 10% incentive amount.

  • Press notes, social media, and other mediums will be used for wide publicity of the scheme.
  • A list of consumers will be prepared at each section and sub-section level and they will be motivated to avail the benefits of the scheme.
