UPSC Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for Technical Assistant (Accounts) post, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:
For deputation/absorption:
- Officers of the Central Government, State Governments, Union Territories, Universities, Recognized Research Institutions, Public Sector Undertakings, or Statutory/Autonomous Organizations are eligible if they satisfy the following conditions:
- (A)
- (i) Should be holding a corresponding post on regular basis in his parent cadre or department.
- (ii) Alternatively, candidates must have completed six years of service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in Level-5 (₹29,200 – ₹92,300) in the pay matrix or equivalent in the parent cadre or department.
Educational Qualification and Experience:
- Candidates must have:
- (i) Successfully completed training in Cash and Accounts course or equivalent course conducted by the Institute of Secretariat and Management.
- (ii) Minimum two years experience in cash, accounts and budget work.
Age Limit:
- Candidates age should not be more than 56 years as on the last date of application.

UPSC Recruitment 2024 How to Apply
Eligible candidates are required to submit their applications in the prescribed proforma in duplicate along with their bio-data. The application must include the following:
Requirements for submission of application:

- integrity certificate: Certificate confirming the integrity of the applicant.
- Description of penalty: A statement giving details of any major or minor penalty imposed on the officer in the last 10 years. If no penalty has been imposed, a ‘nil’ certificate should be attached.
- Vigilance No Objection Certificate: A certificate showing that the candidate does not have any alertness related problem.
- Attested photocopy of ACR: Attested photocopy of the Annual Confidential Report (ACR) for the last five years (2019-20 to 2023-24), each page attested by an officer not below the rank of Under Secretary to the Government of India.
