Before Diwali, women beneficiaries of Ujjwala scheme are being given free cylinders. But only Aadhaar authenticated beneficiaries will be able to get its benefits. The number of PM Ujjwala Yojana beneficiaries in Uttar Pradesh is 1,85,95,736!
Only now the Aadhaar of only 1,08,29,669 beneficiaries is linked and authenticated with the bank account. About 41 percent beneficiaries may be deprived of the benefits of this scheme. However, as the process of their Aadhaar authentication is completed, it will increase.
They will start getting the benefits of the scheme! Let me tell you! That earlier in the last year, only 54 lakh Aadhaar certified beneficiaries could get the benefit of free cylinder!
When will you get the benefit of free gas cylinder?
Let me tell you! That a government order has been issued by the Food and Logistics Department! In which it has been made clear! That in the first phase, 2 free cylinders will be provided to Ujjwala beneficiaries in the month of October to December and in the second phase from January to March 2025. Only such beneficiaries will get this benefit!
The beneficiaries whose bank accounts will be linked and certified with Aadhaar! In the current financial year, the government will spend Rs 1889.84 crore on every free cylinder given during Diwali and after Holi! This assessment has been done on the basis of Aadhaar authenticated existing beneficiaries.
Subsidy is given to the beneficiary under the Ujjwala scheme. Let me tell you! The price of 14.2 kg LPG cylinder in Uttar Pradesh as per the month of September is Rs 842.42. Under the Ujjwala scheme, a subsidy of Rs 334.78 is given by the Central Government on the cylinder received by the beneficiary. The remaining rebate of Rs 508.14 will be given by the state government. The exchange rate (50 paise) of money sent to accounts per cylinder is also included in this!
