Gujarat State Eligibility Test is scheduled to assess the eligibility of candidates to be appointed as Assistant Professor in Gujarat. The examination is conducted in 2 parts: Paper I and Paper II. Paper I assesses the teaching aptitude of the candidates with basic curriculum in general subjects. While Paper II evaluates the research aptitude of the candidates which is subject-specific and relevant to the previous academic experience of the candidates. Candidates appearing for the upcoming GSET exam must be aware of the exam schedule and structure. The exam will be conducted on December 1, 2024 in a single shift at 11 different centres. Gujarat set is conducted in 2 parts for 3 hours continuously. Paper I is scheduled to be held from 09:30 am to 10:30 am for 1 hour. Then later Paper II will be conducted for 2 hours from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm.

The GSET exam pattern has been planned to follow a two-session structure: Paper I and Paper II. In this paper 50 questions are asked with 2 marks each. On the other hand, Paper II is subject-specific and the candidate chooses 100 questions from 33 subjects from the GSET Subject List 2024, each carrying 2 marks.
