MP SET Exam Subject List with Codes and Medium of Questions


Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission released the MP SET Notification 2024 to be held on 15th December 2024. MP SET exam is conducted in 2-session format. Paper I tests general aptitude and Paper II assesses subject-specific knowledge in a subject chosen from the MP SET exam subject list. There are 2 papers in MP SET exam scheme. Paper I assesses the general teaching and research aptitude of the candidate with 50 questions, each question carrying 2 marks. While Paper II assesses the candidates’ knowledge of their chosen subject-specific knowledge. In this, their research in that particular subject will be evaluated. MP SET Exam Subject List 2024 has 20 subjects to choose from.

MP SET Exam 2024: Overview

Madhya Pradesh SET Exam 2024 is conducted by MPPSC and assesses the eligibility of candidates to be appointed as Assistant Professor. Candidates can be from 20 different subjects. Let us look at some of the highlights of the exam:

MP SET Exam Paper I Subject

Paper I is common and compulsory for every candidate as it tests the teaching and research aptitude of the candidate in general. Paper I consists of 4 subjects: Reasoning Ability, Comprehension, Divergent Thinking and General Awareness. With 50 questions asked for 100 marks, this paper carries 33% weightage in the exam.

MP SET Exam Paper II Subject List

Paper II, as mentioned, tests the subject-specific knowledge of the candidate. This subject is the one which is chosen by the candidate while he is pursuing his higher education. In this exam, 100 questions with 66% weightage are asked with 200 marks which makes it an important part of the exam. Let’s see the complete MP SET Exam Subject List 2024:
