Niftee 2025 steps 1 result: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced stage 1 results of the National Institute of Fashion Technology Entrance Examination (NIFTEE) 2025. The examination was conducted for admission to various undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG), and PhD. Program for academic year 2025-26.

Niftee 2025 exam observation

NIFTEE 2025 Stage 1 Exams were successfully conducted on 9 February 2025 (Sunday), in 91 centers across India across India. The exam was available in both Hindi and English mediums and, based on the program, was either conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) or paper based test (PBT) mode. The examinations included a wide range of programs:

  • Design bachelor
  • Design Master (M. D.)
  • Master of fashion management
  • Master of Fashion Technology (MFTECH.)
  • Lateral entry programs such as B.DES. (NLEA) and BFTECH. (Nlea)

However, the result of the Bachelor of Fashion Technology (BFTECH) program has not been released yet. This will be declared separately with the end results of all UG and PG programs as there is no other stage examination for BFTECH.

How to check NIFTEE 2025 Stage 1 Result

Candidates can see their step 1 result by following these simple steps:

  1. Go to the official NIFT entrance portal exacts.nta.ac.in/nift,
  2. Click on the link for “NIFTEEE 2025 Stage 1 Result”.
  3. Enter your application number, date of birth and safety pin.
  4. Submit the details to reach your result.
  5. Download and save the results for future reference.

Shortlisting criteria and step 2 process

The shortlisting stage 1 for the NIFTEE selection process has been based on the performance of the candidates in Stage 1. The selection has followed the specific shortlisting criteria set by the approved category-wise seat matrix and the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT). According to the criteria, candidates have been shortlisted in 1: 4 ratio (one seat for every four candidates), category-wise.

For disabled persons (PWD) candidates, an additional criterion was applied. Only those PWD candidates scored at least 50% cut-off marks for their respective categories, which were considered for shortlisting.

Result status categories

Candidates will see one of the following situation updates based on their schedule:

  • Design bachelor – “Shortlist / not shortlisted for status test”
  • Master of Design (M.Des.), MFM, MFTECH. – “Shortlist / not shortlisted for personal interview”
  • BDE (Neel) – “Shortalist / not shortlisted for studio testing and interview”
  • BFTECH. (Indigo) – “Technical capacity test (TAT) and not shortlist / shortlisted for interview”

The dates for stage 2 exams will be declared separately on official websites including testing, studio testing and personal interviews.
