These candidates will be selected on the basis of written examination, personality test and interview. Selected candidates will be appointed as PGT in School and Mass Education Department. The officials have now announced the OPSC PGT Exam Date 2024 for the written test, the exam is scheduled to be held on 15th, 29th September, and 6th October 2024. The exam will be conducted in 5 different areas in three sessions daily.

OPSC PGT Exam Date 2024 Released
OPSC PGT Exam Date for 1375 Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) has not been released at https://www.opsc.gov.in/. The written exam is scheduled to be held on 15th, 29th September and 6th October 2024 at Balasore, Berhampur, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Sambalpur. Candidates have to appear for the written exam as per the OPSC PGT Exam Schedule 2024 given below. Paper 1 will be conducted in the first session from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Paper II from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM and Paper III from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM.

OPSC PGT Vacancy 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must ensure their eligibility for the postgraduate teacher post mentioned in the advertisement. If the applicant does not fulfill the eligibility, the candidate’s application form will not be accepted. The eligibility criteria of the candidates in terms of educational qualification and age limit are as follows:
OPSC PGT Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have obtained postgraduate degree in the relevant subject from a recognized University with at least 50% marks and must have passed two years postgraduate course or six years integrated postgraduate course in the relevant subject from a Regional Educational College recognized by NCERT with at least 50% marks.
- Candidates should possess B.Ed. or equivalent degree recognized by the National Council of Teacher Education, New Delhi, which is equivalent to B.Ed. from a recognized University. (For the post of PGT, in subjects where B.Ed. course is not available, B.Ed. qualification is not mandatory).
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Applications is a desirable qualification, provided the certificate is obtained from a recognized University or College.
OPSC PGT Age Limit (as on 01/01/2023)
Candidates should have a minimum age of 21 years and maximum age should not be more than 38 years to apply online for OPSC PGT Recruitment 2024. Candidates should not have been born before 02 January 1985 and after 01 January 2002.
OPSC PGT Recruitment 2023 Selection Process
The selection of candidates for Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) posts will consist of written examination and personality test and interview. The written examination will consist of 03 papers, namely Paper 1, Paper 2 and Paper 3. The written examination will be based on objective type multiple choice questions. Candidates qualified in the written examination will be called for personality test and interview.

OPSC PGT Exam Pattern 2024
- OPSC PGT written exam will consist of 03 papers. Paper 1, Paper 2, Paper 3.
- Paper 1 will consist of General English and General Knowledge subjects and Paper 2 and 3 will be conducted for optional subjects.
- Each paper consists of 100 questions carrying 100 marks.
- There will be negative marking, 1/4 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
