UPSC Civil Services Exam is a national level annual examination to recruit eligible candidates for All India Services and Central Civil Services. UPSC Mains Exam is the second stage of the recruitment process, which is conducted only for those candidates who have been declared qualified in the preliminary examination. Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) has officially announced the UPSC Mains Exam Date 2024 as well as the complete exam schedule. UPSC Main Exam 2024 will be conducted on 5 days i.e. 20th, 21st, 22nd, 28th, and 29th September 2024.
UPSC Main Exam 2024 date announced
A total of 14,627 candidates have cleared the UPSC preliminary exam this year and are now eligible to appear for the main exam. The UPSC CSE main exam is a descriptive type exam consisting of 09 papers for a total of 1750 marks. UPSC Calendar 2024 The main exam is scheduled on 20th, 21st, 22nd, 28th, 29th September 2024. With the main exam approaching, candidates are reminded to gear up and revise the syllabus to crack the exam. The final merit list of the candidates will be prepared on the basis of the total marks obtained in the main exam and interview.

UPSC Mains Exam 2024 Exam Schedule
UPSC Main Exam 2024 will have 09 papers which will be conducted in two shifts each day. The time duration of each paper is 03 hours. Except for the essay paper, the exam will be conducted in two shifts from 9 AM to 12 PM and from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Shift timings, exam venue, exam date etc. will be notified through the candidate’s respective admit card.

UPSC Civil Services Exam 2024 The main exam consists of 9 papers of various subjects. All papers are of descriptive type. Paper A, Indian Language and Paper B English are of qualifying nature.
