Labor Card Yojana: A national database, e -ram portal was launched by the Ministry of Labor and Employment in 2021 for unorganized sector workers. Under this, any domestic workers or unorganized sector workers can register themselves. Eshram portal provides registration facility under 30 extensive business sectors and about 400 businesses. This card has been started for unorganized sector laborers, such as construction workers, domestic workers, rickshaw drivers, street vendors etc.
Labor card holders are given direct benefits of insurance, pension, and other government schemes. Under this, free registration can be done and it can be done through the website of the Ministry of Labor and Employment or CSC centers.
Any person can apply for labor card scheme
Any person working in the unorganized sector can apply for a labor card. Under this, laborers of unorganized sectors are provided benefits like pension, death insurance, financial assistance in the event of disability after 60 years. Under this, the beneficiaries are given a UAN number of 12 digits valid across India.
Under this, people working in the unorganized sector have a provision of pension of Rs 3,000 per month after the age of 60 years. Under this, a death insurance of Rs 2,00,000 and financial assistance of Rs 1,00,000 have been provided in partial disability of a worker. If If a beneficiary (worker of an unorganized sector with e -ram card) dies due to an accident, then all the benefits will be given to his spouse.

How to apply online for labor card scheme
- First of all to register labor card E -ram portal (Self-registration page) will have to go.
- Now you have to enter the mobile number and captcha code related to Aadhaar and click on the ‘Send OTP’ button.

- Now you have to enter this OTP and click on the verifying button.
