RRC ER Apprentice Selection Process 2024
- The selection process of candidates interested for training slots in Eastern Railway unit will be mainly based on merit. This merit list will be compiled from the information provided by the candidates in their online application forms. Candidates must ensure that the details provided by them are accurate, as any discrepancy noticed by the Railway Administration will result in cancellation of their candidature.
- The selection list for Document Verification (DV) stage will be determined on the basis of average of marks obtained in Matriculation and ITI examination. Merit list will be prepared on the basis of business, unit and community. It is important to note that there will be no centralized merit list.
- The merit list for eligible candidates will be prepared by calculating the average percentage marks obtained by the candidates in both Matriculation (with minimum 50% aggregate marks) and ITI examinations. Both will be given equal weightage. For example, if a candidate has scored 80.58% marks in Matriculation exam and 91.68% marks in ITI exam, the marks to be considered for selection will be (80.58 + 91.68) / 2 = 86.13.
